Birds and bugs experience time differently from you, seeing the world in slow motion. And every day for your dog actually feels longer to them than it does to you!
But how do you actually tell how the flow of time feels? And why is it different for different animals?
In this video, we break down:
- Animals' flicker fusion frequency and why that impacts how they perceive time
- Comparisons of how different animals see (slow motion vs. sped up by our standards)
- The crazy way that, to your brain, time really does fly by faster as you get older
This all has to do with both the anatomy of your eyes and how quickly your brain can react to what your senses pick up.
