In this essay, I look at the Batman: Arkham Asylum - as an example of what happens when a game adaptation looks to create systemic design for a character with nearly 80 years of reference material.

Why it works is a short-form video series that gives an analytical breakdown of video games, and points out features, techniques or quirks that should be better examined and extrapolated.
