Pompeii is known for its catastrophic end, but the lives and stories from before the eruption are just as captivating.

We spoke with actor Tom Hiddleston, host of @NatGeo's "Pompeii: Out of Time with Tom Hiddleston," and archaeobotanist Jess Venner @lifeinthepastlane author of "The Lost Voices of Pompeii," to piece together what life was like in Pompeii and why their stories still resonate today.
