Reports of rattlesnake bites are up in many parts of the US this summer. Take it from dad Chris Howarth: he received two rattlesnake bites while visiting family in northern California. It took 54 vials of anti-venom to save his life. Snake expert and Cal Poly professor Emily Taylor told CBS News that warmer temperatures are contributing to these venomous encounters. “Rattlesnakes definitely came out of hibernation and were active earlier.
