Anyone else miss the 1970s vacuum? We had two settings - shag and not shag. And the switch was so heavy that it snapped your fingers. My current vacuum terrifies me. It had a 4-page user’s manual. At one point it asked to follow me on IG. Back non-sentient appliance, back I say!
And personally I’m okay with a dusty old closed vacuum bag. I don’t need a see through container showing me the miasma that is getting sucked out of my carpet. I know my family is filthy. I don’t need proof.
Begging for simpler appliances, refrigerators that just chill and don’t email me, dryers that just dry and not steam and sauna. It’s all too much some times. I’m going to go eat some Pez.
