If you are wondering who I think will take Blackbeard's eye. Well that would be Shanks of course. We see Shanks trying to convince everyone that Blackbeard is a major threat from whitebeard to the Gorosei. It is not too surprising to see that Shanks will et into a conflict with Blackbeard in the future. Since Blackbeard gave shanks the scars on his eye it wouldn't be a stretch if Shanks returned that favor. Of course, I don't see a fight with Blackbeard not leading to any consequences. Ace fought Blackbeard and he was given to the Navy. So I see Shanks actually dieing. Not that big of a shock as we see him sacrifice an arm for Luffy. Since he already dipped his toe in the sacrifice soup it would make sense to finish the pot. (does that count as an analogy sounds stupid to me). Anyways Luffy's Goal is to become a great Pirate (you could say the king of all Pirates) and return the hat to Shanks. I actually believe that Luffy will never actually have the opportunity to give the hat to Shanks, which would be devastating. but since when was One Piece all happy endings just look at every Characters backstory. my second argument is that the Straw Hat has always been passed only down through the generation. From Rodger to Shanks and now to Luffy. It's very likely Roder didn't go to Shanks one day and say can I have my hat back. You know maybe friday. Shanks: friday doesn't work for me How about saturday: Nah not good for me either. The Hat is a SYmbol that moves down through time. And that means luffy Might have to part with it one day. And Who better than Shanks Son. This Way he would be figuratively retuning the ha back to Shank. And yes it is Strongly hinted that Shanks has a son from This COver Page. Where we see Makino holding a baby and Oda commenting (who this kid He must belong to that guy) Let's be honest there is no real reason for Shanks to hang around GOA Kingdom for so long if he wasn't getting his dick wet.
