This presentation is about Schmincke Horadam Aquarelle paints and the question that is most frequently asked about them: "What makes Schmincke so much better than other brands?"
Well, for starters, painting with Schmincke watercolors, for me, is like painting with love, itself. They are serious, yet playful; complex, yet fun; subtle yet intense.
But, they come with a very hefty price tag which may keep a lot of people from even considering them.
In the video, I discuss my relationship with these paints, their history, and why the process of making them – since the 1800's – is important.
Thanks to Tracy for asking about the the 12 colors I added to this set, which I've listed below.
I may swap out the Gold & Silver for another purple and red, which seem light in the set.

4. Cobalt Cerulean
5. Green Earth
6. Rose Madder
7. Potter's Pink (this might be the best Potter's Pink I've every used, by the way!)
8. Cadmium Orange Deep
9. Cobalt Violet Hue
10. Sap Green
11. Transparent Red Deep
12. Cobalt Blue Hue
