Is the BMCC MFT 2.5k still worth it in 2024? This one cost 75 Euros.
If you follow this channel closely you will know that I am always on the hunt for a bargin.
In my search for spare parts I came across this BMCC 2.5k for sale on the used market. And as I have owned the camera before, I couldn't resist.
But it did make me think for a moment, is this camera even worth it in 2024. I mean the camera is now 12 years old. And Blackmagic design is about to announce a new camera. So why did I buy this this old camera that black magic design cinema camera 2.5k. Well because it shoots incredible images. It is super easy to work with in post. And its now super cheap to buy on the second hand market.
The RAW video capabilities of this camera are well known and it has been used on major Hollywood productions.
