Amazon acquired Globalstar for $90 a share, rebranding it “Amazon Leo” to compete directly with SpaceX Starlink.
The move doubles down on satellite connectivity, and Amazon simultaneously partnered with Apple to power emergency satellite features on the iPhone and Apple Watch.
