Yesterday’s program was a great opportunity for all of us to learn more about Wu Jianxiong, a Chinese female physicist who made important scientific contributions to the world! Through her incredible story, we also explored China's 20-century history, a truly tumultuous period.

Our speaker, Mr. Ian Huen, a passionate historian and prolific writer, shared Wu Jianxiong’s journey, emphasizing how her upbringing and grit led her to great heights.

Although her discovery of parity violation—a major breakthrough in particle physics—was never recognized with a Nobel Prize, she was nominated at least seven times!
