In this day and age, most people tend to believe that the slave trade was simply the result of Europeans kidnapping Africans and shipping them off to the New World while others believe that Africans were selling their own brothers, sisters, and countrymen off for a quick buck. There is also the idea that the slavery in Africa was more or less the same as the chattel slavery practiced in New World in regards to its brutality and dehumanization. This video seeks to clarify and debunk these misconceptions.
