These screwdrivers were made famous by Klein, but many other brands, like Vaco
& Rosco also made them. It turns out none of these brands invented the cushion
grip. It was invented in 1958 by John Coyle for Bridgeport Manufacturing. The
other companies selling them licensed the design from Bridgeport, which is why
the same patent number shows up on all of them.
