Who really benefits from America's farm subsidy programs? Is it the farmer? The seed and fertilizer companies? The local bank? Consumers? Or are taxpayers helping subsidize food that's ultimately exported to countries like Mexico and China?

I'm not arguing that farm subsidies are good or bad. I'm asking a bigger economic question: Who receives the greatest benefit, and is the current system politically and economically sustainable?
