One of the most interesting details in the new Avengers: Doomsday footage might be happening right beside Doctor Doom.
While most of the attention is naturally on Doom, there appear to be figures standing alongside him in the shot, and they could potentially be Sentinels.
If that is what Marvel is showing us, it could be a much bigger clue than it initially seems.
Sentinels are machines created to hunt and eliminate mutants, making them deeply connected to the X-Men side of Marvel. Their possible appearance beside Doctor Doom immediately raises questions about what Doom is doing, which universe this scene takes place in, and how the X-Men could become involved in Avengers: Doomsday.
It also makes the placement important. If Doom is intentionally standing alongside Sentinels rather than simply encountering them, Marvel could be teasing some kind of alliance, control over them, or a larger plan involving mutants.
With Avengers: Doomsday bringing multiple worlds and characters together, this could be one of our first visual clues about how the X-Men storyline connects directly to Doctor Doom and the larger Multiverse conflict.
