This is the first and ONLY character I've featured in a video who wasn't previously drawn. Its a rather interesting concept as well. The intro portion of this video may not have explained quite what Chrysus is, so let's clarify here in the description section.
Chrysus is a curse which converts sentient life into a golden statue who only springs to life when challengers attempt to gain access to the gateway of Eldorado. The monks of medieval era deemed the city of Eldorado too dangerous for humankind to pillage due to all of the warring factions fighting for control. So rather than close off the city completely, they tasked a golden guardian fighter to protect the city. If the guardian known as Chrysus were to lose the in the exchange, its attacker would be converted into the next golden guardian and resume the role of Chrysus thus freeing the previous host.
Yes, there can be many Chrysus hosts. In fact, there were many over the years. This video specifically deals with the life of one particular monk who was transformed into Chrysus while being transported to another plain of existence. As this monk touched down thousands of miles from the gateway, he was free from the curse, able to wield all of the power of Chrysus and leaving the gateway completely unguarded, he attempts to live a normal life. The life he was condemned to never have because of the curse.
Now free from the curse, can this man really live a normal life? Or will the forces of the Yakuza desperately trying to defeat and claim his power prove to be too much for him?
