People often comment that I write a lot in my journals.
While the writing is really quite time consuming and definitely not as fun as all the stickers and washi tape and decorating, it’s kind of a gift to my future self. When I read back on some of the funny things my loved ones have done or how I was feeling in a particular period of my life, it is such a treasure! I would forget so much of my life if I didn’t write it down!
I decorate for the now version of me who loves pulling out all the stationery and playing.
I write for the future version of me who will read back on this time in my life and be so happy I have some kind of record of it all.
