Who Deserves Happy Ever Afters argues for the acceptance and promotion of diverse books for all of us as a source for healing, for self-acceptance, and for enrichment among us. Ellen Oh is an award winning author and editor of middle grade and young adult novels. She is a founding member of We Need Diverse Books, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing diversity in children's literature. Originally from NYC, Ellen lives in Rockville, Maryland with her husband, three human children, and two dog children, and has yet to satisfy her quest for a decent bagel. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
