We made it to a year of doing a song a week! This'll be the last song in this project, and I am going to take a bit of a break, but I've learned so much about songwriting the last year that I know I'm gonna come back swinging. Thanks for all the support you've given me.
THE PLAN:
This is part of a project I'm doing called "7-Day Songs"! I'm challenging myself to write, record, and edit a new original song/video each week, every Tuesday. Doing this for a full year!

LYRICS
Verse 1:
So it's come, here at last, I remember when
I felt empty and needed that spark again
I don't feel any different than I did then
What went wrong?
I can't give anything that I've done here love
Cause that stage of my life is now covered up
With a cloud telling me I'm not good enough
To move on
Chorus:
I need to find me something new
I'm a victim to
Endless productivity
I'm growing up eventually
But that means I gotta go
Had time, but didn't come prepared
Why am I so scared?
Makes sense it has to end
The hardest part is saying goodbye
If I stop, then who am I?
Verse 2:
Set my sights on a scheduled and stable goal
Now I'm blind to progression, gotta fill that hole
Can't I stay here where I at least have control
For a while?
Now's the time that we pack up and graduate
Familiarity and comfort helped me concentrate
I'm not ready to level up yet; I'd rather wait
That's my style
Chorus:
I need to find me something new
I'm a victim to
Endless productivity
I'm growing up eventually
But that means I gotta go
Had time, but didn't come prepared
Why am I so scared?
Makes sense it has to end
The hardest part is saying goodbye
If I stop, then who am I?
Verse 3 (Songco):
Started played music with nothing
But a curiosity with strumming
On a guitar, tape recorder that i used
Take the lyrics down and turn them into something
Now I’m tryna do this for a living
Now my brain is being less forgiving
Never want projects to end, because it sets a precedent
Of whether I am losing or I’m winning
But when you take away reception analytics
Will you listen to your critic or your intuition?
Will you see it as a summit you can’t climb past?
Or as a milestone cemented in a time passed?
The data points claiming that you hit your ceiling are skewed
Music is a lifetime and fulfilling for you
So take a bit to renew, then get back in the groove
Cuz there’s a whole lot of living to do
Chorus:
I'll find me something new
I'm a victim to
Endless productivity
I'm growing up eventually
But that means I gotta go
Had time, but didn't come prepared
Why am I so scared?
Makes sense it has to end
The hardest part is saying goodbye
If I stop, then who am I?
