Friday Night Funkin' News this week! In this video we go over the big topics within the FNF community. This includes the Whitty mod removal and cancelation, the Whitty and Carol Date Week mod, Squidward Tricky mod, FNF HD Week 5 update, Scott The Woz mod, The Blueballs Incident, and the Martian Mixtape update.

1. So Whitty and Updike are both officially gone... it's a shame. There are backups of the mod out there, however the actual page on Gamebanana is non-accessible. Whitty truly kickstarted Friday Night Funkin's mod scene and gave us some real boppers/challenges like Ballistic. The lore surrounding Whitty and Updike was really interesting as well, and I think lots of people would've loved to see how the story expanded.
Although ultimately unfortunate, Whitty had a heartwarming sendoff with the Date Week mod featuring Whitty and Carol. Both these characters were frequently shipped from their respective mods, and this mod's creation included the creator of Whitty alongside other notable developers. It really feels like a love-letter to the community, and includes background characters like the Among Us imposter, Shaggy, Matt, Mid-fight Masses ( Sarv and Ruv ), Bob, Garcello, Hex, Tankman, Miku, Tabi, and more. We're sad to see you go Whitty, but thank you for all the memories.
2. The Squidward Tricky mod! This is really funny, but also surprising given the sheer quality! Squidward sings over the Tricky week including songs like Madness and Hellclown, while Spongebob replaces boyfriend. Squidward and Spongebob are both really expressive, and it's a great reskin of an already great mod. The mod actually includes the scene in Spongebob where he hits Squidward's face until it resembles Tricky's face lol. It's bizarrely fantastic.
3. The Blueballs Incident just updated to version 1.999 as more of a sneak peak for version 2.0. This update includes a new song alongside a new(?) character. The mod is horror-based and includes a ton of lore building. The enemy characters seem to take inspiration from the Rage Comic days of the internet with the Troll, alongside some original creations. There's cutscenes, dialogue to analyze, songs to bop to, and a really neat artstyle all in this mod.
4. Scott The Woz now has an official entire modded week! The songs and dialogue are made to resemble Scott The Woz's YouTube channel, and has his friends show up throughout the week to get in on the action. Scott has songs about Nintendo games, his amazing Borderline Forever video, and other jokes. There are so many references to Scott's episodes, and everything is just so colorful and fun in this mod.
5. The Friday Night Funkin' HD mod recently updated to include Week 5. This includes Lemon Demon, or Monster as the final song. The mod completely revamps almost all assets of regular FNF into a new story involving new mechanics and character building. This update week involves boyfriend, girlfriend, daddy dearest, mommy mearest, and of course Lemon Demon as they share a completely, uh... normal Christmas!
6. The Martian Mixtape mod received a HUGE update including 3 new weeks for a total of 9 new songs! (or 10 if you include a Freeplay addition). There are three new characters all with their own backgrounds, animations, and sci-fi like personalities. Among the characters included in this mod are an alien, agent, skeleton monster, and conspiracy theorist. The mod does this all with no dialogue, and plans to be a complete overhaul of Friday Night Funkin' as a whole.
All of these mods are available on Gamebanana right now (well, except for Whitty :'(). Friday Night Funkin' has grown into something truly mindblowing and spectacular. I love being apart of this awesome community, and hope to provide a source of news surrounding FNF. There is so much coming out that it feels hard to keep track of everything now, so I aim to highlight the best parts of recent releases. I'd like to note underrated topics/mods in the future too, as there is so much creative competition within the community!
