Former hedge fund manager Whitney Tilson, now the founder and CEO of Empire Financial Research, tells Julia La Roche episode 47 that he’s “reasonably bullish” on the markets today.
“It’s been carnage out there,” Tilson says of the dismal 2022 performance for the average investor, adding, “The more blood on the streets there is, the more bullish I get.”
While Tilson is sure there will be a melt-up, his best guess for 2023 is the market will be up 15 to 20%.
Tilson, 56, spent nearly two decades managing money before closing his hedge fund in late 2017. He now publishes an investment newsletter.
