This Nunbird is a rare and distinctive nunbird of high Andean wet subtropical zones of Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. It is not a true nunbird (Monasa), and is alternatively called White-faced Puffbird. These birds perch silently and motionless for long periods of time, waiting for passing large insects.
