The African Bioacoustics Library is an initiative under the Making Africa Heard project.
We are focused on building and bolstering sound libraries for Southern Africa wildlife through collaboration between scientists and the general public.
We invite you to listen to the life around you and contribute to our project. Here is how you can do that:
Record the sounds while appreciating the wildlife, such as birds, mammals and fishes;
Preferentially make your records in WAV format;
Try to spend at least 30s recording your focal animal;
Upload your recordings together with photograph and/or video for species identification to: inaturalist.org/projects/african-bioacoustic-library
For more information, visit: africanbioacoustic.wixsite.com/abcommunity
