In some cultures, the white dove is a symbol of peace, it is also thought to be a messenger to the living from a soul that has passed on, letting them know the person is now at peace.
In March, 1976, the body of a young woman, thought to be between only 14 and 20 years of age, was pulled from the Harpeth River, near Nashville, Tennessee.
Thought to have only been dead a day or two when she was found, there were signs of trauma to her body, possibly having been forcibly held under the water til she drowned.
The only clue was a picture with a phone number found in her jeans pocket.
Who was the possiby Native American girl, who wore a white dove around her neck?
Now known only as Cheryl Doe, Sherry Doe and Harpeth River Doe.
