ITS DARKENED PATHS TIME BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHRISTIANITY-VIBES MAP?????? SIGN ME THE FUCK UP ILL BRING THE STAINED GLASS AND THE REFERENCES SINCE MY STORY AS A WHOLE LITERALLY HAS A CHURCH AS A MAJOR SETTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ASTERRRR!!! JOINING THIS MAP ON AN IMPULSE WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST THINGS IVE EVER DONE. thank you SO much for allowing me this opportunity to create one of my favorite things ive ever made and to experiment SO much and have such a good time! i am so tremendously proud of this animation and how far my work as come as a whole, skill wise and characters. this was a masterclass in my understanding of clip studio paint bc it was done ENTIRELY there. oh my god. ITS DONE!!!!!!!! yall are so nice in the server, this project is coming along INCREDIBLY so please please keep an eye out for it you won't wanna miss it!!!
SYMBOLISM TIME!!!!!! let me break down my part frame by frame....
this part is seen through the eyes of Trash, the orange calico. the stained glass/wings/eye halo is her version of rose tinted glasses, everything is cool and great. until it all snaps and it isnt and reality is hard.
while tarot/major arcana is Not christian based, i used it for that EXACT reason, being that its Off Kilter and Different and noticeably Not The Same and added to my theme of 2 opposing tracks/realities. dont look too deep into it it works for me and its pretty x the maps about symbolism overall
trash on the building glass - the fool major arcana. new beginnings, innocence, faith in the future, beginners luck.
^ trash on the building glass FLIPPED - chaos, folly, lack of judgement, naivety, stupidity.
shade stained glass - the empress major arcana. maternity, pregnancy, new opportunity, stability
^ shade then turns into the tower card - danger, crisis, unexpected change, catastrophe
- trash snaps from her holy eye halo and wings to the real, current situation she is in, in the church with shade, dawn and flare.
- the outside of the church, reality as well. a crow watches.
- a candelabra inside the real church. a single flame goes out as blood hits the glass, both real and symbolic with....
- THE KISS OF JUDAS RECREATED WITH THE CAST OF DARKENED PATHS. MY GREATEST CREATION. from the perspective of the series as a whole, featuring the PRE-FOTC cast, with the paws of the modern crew reacting to this act. the betrayal of christ from one of his closest disciples. false love. judas kissed jesus which directly led to his discovery, arrest and soon to be death, followed by the resurrection. a little too on the nose
oh also im 20 now :). my birthday was the 23rd. im a big boy!
