The Prince of Wales brought his environmental and whisky interests together as he opened a biomass plant which uses distillery by-products to generate electricity and a whisky bottling centre. The Helius CoRDe energy plant in Rothes will use whisky by-products to supply electricity to nine thousand homes. And the Glen Grant Distillery on Speyside, founded in 1840, now has control of the entire whisky production process from barley to bottling.
