The RPM readout on the computer is jumpy due to the
USB lag on the computer, especially at low speed, but as
a whole it still accurate when spinning at a stable speed.

The readout on the tachometer itself is
more stable but much harder to video...

The laser is also going through a dark tinted plastic
window, and the glass behind it, so considering all of
this it works quite well.
