Which Hermès scarf does Meryl Streep wear in “Death Becomes Her”? Let’s find out! This “As Seen In” Sunday scarf ID could not be more timely with Halloween just passed and Adele perfectly nailing this costume too. And speaking of perfect timing, I also have a few colorways coming to my scarf boutique! This movie is such a cult classic, so let’s do it. When she first enters the plastic surgery office she has on a scarf with a beautiful light blue, gold and white motif. It isn’t in focus, but it doesn’t take long to get a clear view. This is one I recognized right away because it’s so unique and one I totally love! The scarf she is wearing is Hermès “Wedgwood” by Philippe Ledoux and first released in 1974. And let’s take a moment to thank costume designer, Joanna Johnston, for this fabulous choice. If you are unfamiliar with Wedgwood, it’s an English pottery company that’s been around since 1759! They are best known for their Jasperware, which is what is depicted on this scarf. I have a few pieces of Wedgwood, as I showed in this video, but actually the black (not shown) is my favorite! The scarf I am wearing today is a pleated version of “Les Champignons” because the Reishi mushroom is the mushroom of immortality.
