In the seventies of the last century, a new species of herbivorous Dinosaurs was discovered in the African state of Niger. It was named after this country and is now known to science as Nigersaurus. Its uniqueness lay in the fact that under each of its teeth there were several spare ones that were put forward to replace the worn one. In total, scientists counted about 500 teeth in his mouth. But this species does not hold the record for the number of teeth among Dinosaurs. The platypus hadrosaur had the largest stock of teeth. Each of his jaws housed 480 pieces. That is, almost a thousand teeth were placed in his mouth at the same time. And taking into account their periodic replacement for a lifetime, a hadrosaur could have up to 10 thousand teeth.
