![Gigot Girl Gang vs. Axe Throwing | Historical Costuming Shenanigans
As proper [almost] Victorian ladies😂 , we asked ourselves a few questions:
1. Can Victorian Ladies throw axes like Jason Momoa?
2. How would Jason Momoa look in a corset?
3. Do corsets get in the way of axe throwing?
4. Is the best axe throwing technique for a not quite Victorian Lady the single or double-handed throw?
Well, as very curious historical costumers, there was only one way to find out, and a night out at the Reno Axe Bar was planned. Axes were launched. Sleeves were ripped. We learned that corsets and axe-throwing do well together, but axe-throwing and gigot sleeves do not...(or the big caps and tall hair for that matter...). So yes, ladies, from now on, remember that a corset does not restrict your axe-throwing abilities. Finally, we manage to answer the most important historical costuming question of all time - Can a Victorian Lady throw an axe like Jason Momoa?
Historical Costuming experiments, ftw!
