In this quick video, I want to show you a new website I have started to use. It has lots of videos, Photos and even some 4k footage you can download for free and it comes with CC0, meaning you can use, edit and modify the videos for any reason and you don't have to credit anyone.
You dont have to sign up for anything or even log in, with one click to download you are good to go.
There are services like this that require a monthly fee but if, (like me) you are on a budget then this website is really helpful!..

![Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial : Castle Rock [Digital Matte Painting]
In this Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial, we will be composing another Digital Matte Painting called Castle Rock.
This time we will be using the 3D view when compositing our shot. Using GIMP (or any other software of your choice) We will first take an image and cut it into a few layers. Then add some Visual Interest in the form of a castle or two, some Ruins and other assets to build our Matte Painting.
Once we are happy with our assets, we then export the images (with alpha transparency) and bring them into Blender using the Image as Plains tool.
Once the Layers have been positioned and scaled we then add some more visual interest with the addition of a Water fall.
To make our work a little easier, The waterfall video clip has been turned into an Image Sequence. (You could just use the video and create a custom mask).
Then using the same technique as the waterfall we can add smoke and other moving elements to add more life to our shot.
With the addition of compositing, we can add Motion blur, color grading and finally a nice heavy Sunbeams Node to compose this Matte Painting.
If you create an awesome Matte Painting and want to share it with us, be sure to post a link in our facebook group.
I hope you guys enjoy this Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial! and as always, Thanks for watching!..

![Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial : Fantasy Fireflies [Boids Particle System]
In this Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial. We will be creating a fantasy style shot similar to something we have done previously. This time, we will be using a Live Action Shot instead of a fully CG environment.
We will be using the Boids Physics Type for our Particle System and with a few tweaks we can achieve something really cool. Once you are happy with the Motion you can Bake and move on to Compositing.
For some added Variation and Interest, we add a keyframe for the strength value for each of the Fireflies and then add a Modifier to make the Light Flicker.
Using the Graph editor, not only can get get a cool flickering effect but with a simple adjustment we can get a whole bunch of variations.
You can then Render out a PNG image sequence then composite it all together in post or just continue on and add your final touches.
If you make something awesome with the Boids be sure to post a link in the comments below or post a link in our Facebook Group.
Hopefully you guys enjoyed this Blender Compositing VFX Tutorial and as always thanks for watching.

This week we will be reviewing the Monthly Subscription Box by the Gadget Discovery Club. (Thanks to the guys at the Gadget Discovery Club for sending us this box to review!)
Monthly subscription boxes are certainly fun but there are so many out there it becomes hard to choose just one. (I will be reviewing more Subscription boxes in the future so be sure to comment with your suggestions!).
