It's been hard to find the right words or express the right sense of how the return to unemployment has worn on me without coming across as attention-seeking and whiny. The last three and a half months have borne much the same kind of fruit as the last time I was unemployed— far less of its severity, thankfully, but present nonetheless— in that the sense of uselessness and insufficiency have returned in full force. It takes conscious effort to ward off the notion that I simply have little to offer the world, and what I do offer is just not enough.
Please understand that I do not seek to come across as ungrateful to those of you who have supported me through this time, or indeed any time— far from it. I've not enjoyed quite the same broad appeal as many of my colleagues and superiors in terms of the size of my following, but what I do have with you is depth— I can shed any pretense of being someone through whom you'd want to live vicariously, and speak as Travis, whether that's through an alias such as Odyssey or Ken Blast or not.
I've no intention of abandoning the genres and styles for which I'm known. If I do need to pause my production work, even briefly, to focus on the job hunt, I'll let you all know. Until then, I thank you for hearing me out with Where Solemn Winds Blow.

The song itself isnt very deep— its about someone enjoying a break from a troublesome past, on vacation with a very strong beverage. The project files were corrupted not long after exporting the regular version (as opposed to the instrumental & acapella), so this is unfortunately the only version I can release, seeing as something would be better than nothing. ^^;
