A fantastic line‑up of notable University of Reading sporting alumni came together to share the journeys, challenges, and pivotal moments that shaped their careers. British Rower Cath Bishop, and cricketer Clare Taylor joined forces to tell their inspiring stories of dedication, teamwork, and pursuing big dreams.

Designed for children aged 7–12 and their grown‑ups, this lively and engaging Children’s Public Lecture explored what it takes to turn passion into competing on the national and international stage.
Audiences heard inspiring messages about courage, resilience, and the joy of sport, with plenty of opportunities for young attendees to learn, imagine, and be motivated by real sporting success
