Have you ever been so busy showing up for everyone else that you didn't realize you were disappearing from your own life?
I've had to learn that lesson more than once.
When you constantly put everyone else first, it's easy to start feeling disappointed when they don't show up for you in the same way. But sometimes the deeper issue isn't what other people are or aren't doing. It's that you've been asking everyone else to give you something you haven't been willing to give yourself.
Care.
Attention.
Rest.
Permission to have needs too.
When I learned to stop abandoning myself in the name of serving everyone else, something shifted. I could love people without resentment. I could serve without feeling depleted. I could show up from overflow instead of obligation.
And I'm still learning. Sometimes growth isn't learning something new. It's remembering what you already know and choosing to live it again.
So here's the question. Where in your life are you being asked to choose yourself without guilt?
Tell me in the comments. ❤️
