Just before Jesus ascended through the clouds into heaven, he commissioned his disciples to preach the gospel to the nations of the world.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20

First, when Jesus tells his disciples to baptize the nations in the NAME, singular, of the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit, he sees himself as sharing God’s divine name with the Father and the Spirit. He doesn’t say “names”, plural, of the Father, Son and Spirit, rather the NAME, singular, of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Second, says he will be with his disciples even unto the end of the world. How could Jesus be in heaven and with all his disciples unto the end of the world if he was just a man? Clearly, Jesus believed he was God and able to be with all his disciples anywhere and at any time.

Third, the promise to be with his disciples as he commissions them echo's Yahweh's promise to always be previous prophets.

Genesis 26:3 “Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and bless you…

Genesis 28:15 “Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go.

Deuteronomy 31:23 Then He commissioned Joshua the son of Nun and said, “Be strong and courageous, for you shall bring the sons of Israel into the land which I swore to them, and I will be with you.”

Jesus claimed God’s personal name for himself. When God spoke to Moses at the burning bush, Moses asked God his name.

Then Moses said to God, “Behold, I am about to come to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you.’ And they will say to me, ‘What is His name?’ What shall I say to them?” Exodus 3:13

And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” Exodus 3:14

John 8:23-24 And He was saying to them, “You are from below, I am from above. You are of this world, I am not of this world. “Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am, you will die in your sins.”

“Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.” So the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple. John 8:56-59

Jesus claims to be God in The book of Revelation

Revelation 1:8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

So, Yahweh God, The Almighty, refers to himself as the Alpha and the Omega.

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, THE FIRST AND THE LAST, the beginning and the end.” Revelation 22:13

So, the Alpha and the Omega is Almighty God and the first and the last.

Revelation 1:17-18 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

So, the Alpha and the Omega is Almighty God, the first and the last, the one who died and rose again? That’s Jesus right? So, Jesus claims to be God.

Surah 57:3 He is the First and the Last, the Evident and the Immanent

“Who has worked and done it, Calling forth the generations from the beginning? ‘I, Yahweh, am the first; and with the last, I am He.’” Isaiah 41:4

In Genesis 2:7 God created man out of the dust of the earth, and in John 9:6-7 Jesus spat in the dirt, put it on a blind man's eyes and restored his sight.

In Genesis 2:7 God breathed his spirit into man at creation, and in John 20:22, after his resurrection from the dead, Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit into his disciples.

Even the Quran claims Jesus formed a bird out of clay and breathed into it the breath of life.

In Psalms 89:8-9 David asks God who is like you who rules the waves and stills the seas, yet in all three synoptic gospels Jesus calms the raging winds and the waves of the sea.

John 20:27-28 Then He *said to Thomas, “Bring your finger here, and see My hands; and bring your hand here and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.” Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”

John 20:29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are those who did not see, and yet believed.”

Luke 24:50-52 And He led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up His hands, He blessed them. And it happened that while He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven. And they, after worshiping Him, returned to Jerusalem with great joy
