Background for this vid ๐ฃ Stress is essentially the number of things you need to do (ie things on your plate) in relation to your perceived ability to handle those things (ie the size of your plate). If your plate is too small for the number of things on your plate, then you are stressed out. At this point, it can be hard to distinguish between important tasks and trivial ones. This script began much more realistically, however, with the main character really only having one task (sending a bday card), which spiraled out of control with the number of tangential tasks associated with it (sometimes called the "Wall of Awful" in relation to ADHD). But that script wasn't terribly funny (not that this one is either haha) but I found it more fun to have a bunch of random tasks that Sven needed to do. Eventually one of them became negotiating a hostage situation, and I had fun figuring out why he would be in charge of such a task. Also, the way I pick character names for these sketches is I downloaded the Social Security Administration's database of baby names for each state going back to 1900 and just scroll and randomly pick, which is how we get stuff like Sven and Maxwell.
