🎸 Blues Lick of The Day #6
This lick is played over the turnaround of a 12-bar blues progression in A. The term ‘turnaround’ is what blues musicians call the final four bars of the 12-bar progression.
It typically follows this structure - 1x bar of the V chord / 1x bar of the IV chord / 2x bars of the I chord.
In this lick I’m targeting the major 3rd’s of each of the three chords, by chromatically ‘walking up’ to them using passing notes.
