Linda Thai speaks to the tension within many Western approaches to healing: we are often asked to locate suffering inside a single person, while the social conditions, histories, relationships, and systems surrounding that person remain outside the frame.

Linda invites us to widen the lens.

How do we honor the individual experience while recognizing the larger forces shaping it?

How might healing change when we become attentive to the societal conditions that perpetuate suffering and begin asking how we can interrupt cycles of harm rather than simply helping people adapt to them?

These questions sit at the heart of Liberation Psychology: Roots, Memory, & Practice, our nine-month learning journey in decolonial healing.

Together, practitioners, healers, educators, organizers, and community members will explore what becomes possible when the container for healing expands from the individual toward history, lineage, relationship, and collective life.
