Look out for a blue bus lane sign that will tell you when the bus lane is in operation. If it doesn't display any times, then it will be operational 24 hours a day and should be avoided. If you are allowed in the bus lane, then you should use it (if it's safe and convenient) to allow other road users to overtake you and ease congestion.
