I mean, you wouldn't want to sit around feeling relaxed when there's a tiger approaching...you need to start pumping out the adrenaline! Nowadays, however, when most of us don't face dangerous predators on a daily basis, stress can feel like more of a hindrance than a help. In this video, Charlotte Collingwood from Oxford's MRC Brain Network Dynamics Unit explains the different stages of stress, why it 'turns bad', and how we can help to overcome its negative effects.
