When Scales Lie (Weighing Salt, Yeast, and Other Small Ingredients)

5.7g of salt = 2 tsp Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt = 1 tsp Table salt

If weighing small quantities, use a scale with 0.01g precision. If measuring by volume, use deep round teaspoons. Flat teaspoons aren’t accurate. If you want to see the difference between measuring spoons, watch this: youtu.be/ERAyGfCuZD8?t=200
