When a breakup happens and the man immediately centers the conversation around his mental health, the woman’s side of the story often gets questioned, minimized, or completely shut down. Sympathy kicks in, accountability disappears, and suddenly any criticism feels off-limits.
We’re talking about why it’s important to look at timing, power dynamics, age gaps, and the ways mental health language can be used *intentionally or not* to avoid responsibility. Not to attack anyone involved, but to help us make better sense of these situations in our own lives.
The goal here isn’t to villainize anyone. It’s to encourage women to stay observant, ask better questions, and trust their discernment especially when sympathy is being used to silence uncomfortable conversations.
