Peter dominates the narrative. He speaks more. He acts more. His strengths are there — but so are his failures. Mark doesn’t sanitize him. That’s not what you’d expect from later legend-building.
You also see Aramaic expressions preserved and translated, which suggests proximity to someone who heard Jesus speak in that language.
None of this proves Peter is beh the Gospel. But when you ask what hypothesis best explains these internal features, Petrine sourcing makes sense.
