“When I Knew God was a Woman (Sri Aurobindo) and writings of Nolini-da” is composed of three short writing pieces. The first two, "Our Yoga" and "Mother's Playground", were written by Nolini Kanta Gupta. The third, "When I knew God was a Woman" is an aphorism written by Sri Aurobindo and published in “Thoughts and Aphorisms” in the section on Bhakti. Matriprasad writes about his research into this aphorism, giving voice to the Mother's and Nolini-da's comments upon it. The aphorism is: “After I knew that God was a woman, I learned something from far-off about love; but it was only when I became a woman and served my Master and Paramour that I knew love utterly.” (Aphorism 411, CWSA). With background art composed of Preeti Ghosh's Savitri paintings, the Mother's symbol and sachchidananda symbols; this offering is made in service to Sri Aurobindo, the Mother and The Divine Mother.
