Piano and synth cover of "When Hearts Connect" from The Last Story, by Nobuo Uematsu. This beautiful piece is one of my favourites from the game, and it's a textbook Uematsu piano piece - a simple, elegant idea that resonates with the listener.

I played the piano part live after arranging all of the synths and strings around it, playing along to the track. I made the decision to use Logic's piano sounds, rather than recording from my upright piano, as playing along to the fixed tempo was easier when I could hear the track to play along with. I think the piano sound here is good overall.
