A lot of gamers tell themselves that any table time is better than none. I don’t think that’s true.
In this video, I’m talking about why a bad game can actually do more damage than taking a break. Bad campaigns do not just waste a night. They can drain your energy, make game night feel like work, and slowly kill your interest in the hobby.
This is not about dunking on referees. Sometimes the problem is a bad fit. Sometimes it really is a bad table. Either way, if the game is making you dread gaming, it may be time to step back.
