What if the pressure you’re feeling isn’t proof that you’re going backward, but part of God preparing you for expansion?
We can find ourselves in seasons where God is expanding our hope, expectation, vision, assignments, and even the way we see ourselves, while at the same time circumstances seem to be moving in the exact opposite direction.
That’s what we see with Gideon in Judges 6. Gideon saw himself as the least, but God kept speaking to who he really was and what He was preparing to do through him. God took Gideon through a process of revelation, equipping, encouragement, and empowerment.
So don’t let the tension of this season convince you that God’s promise isn’t working. Sometimes the very word God has given you will test you, shape you, and prepare you for the promise.
Expect expansion. God may be preparing you for more than you can see right now.
