On January 9, 2024... That vehicle, a Toyota Camry, was spotted at a gas station about 2.5 miles from Lucinda Wrights home... Daniel Wood is in the driver seat, and officers make contact.
Wood was taken down to the station for questioning regarding Lucinda Wright's murder the day before.

Initially, Wood pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, but ultimately was deemed competent to stand trial..
On January 17, 2025 Daniel Wood pleaded guilty to aggravated murder
