Giten Megami Tensei is one of the most obscure and controversial JRPGs ever created by the developers behind Persona and Shin Megami Tensei (sort of). Despite being a piece of SMT history its ties to the series have been buried even among the most hardcore of fans but that ends today.
But why did this game vanish into obscurity? Why does ATLUS seemingly want nothing to do with it? As it turns out, the true story behind its reputation is one of the strangest (and frankly, dumbest) things I’ve ever encountered in gaming history that you literally won't find anywhere else...
