When a developer says your track is too chill, do not panic-stack five new instruments on top of it.

I got that exact note once. Instead of piling on layers, I added movement. Syncopated patterns. Percussion that dances over the same harmonic bed. I pulled the intro so the track arrived sooner without killing the vibe.

If your piece is mostly eighth notes and someone wants more energy, sprinkle in some sixteenths. Respect the palette of the game. Then inject life with rhythm and phrasing, not more stuff.
