Today, we're diving into something exciting happening right here in Johor Bahru – a brand new reclamation project in Stulang that's turning heads and reshaping our coastline. If you're from JB like me, you know our city is booming with developments, but this one feels fresh and innovative. It's called The Eclipse, and it's not just another high-rise; it's a coastal masterpiece built on reclaimed land, bringing luxury living closer to the sea. Let's break it down in this quick 4-minute overview.

First off, what makes this a reclamation project? Land reclamation involves filling in parts of the sea to create new usable land, and that's exactly what's underway in Stulang. This area along the Straits of Johor has been transformed to host The Eclipse, a joint venture between Chin Hin Group Property Bhd and Atlan Holdings Bhd. For locals, this is pretty novel – we're used to rapid urban growth, but reclaiming land for premium residences like this adds a whole new layer to JB's skyline, especially with views straight across to Singapore.

The project sits on a 4.28-acre site, featuring two towering blocks ranging from 36 to 58 storeys high. That's a total of 1,116 units, with sizes from 570 to 1,161 square feet, starting at around RM630,000. It's designed with a sleek, coastal-inspired architecture by WDA Architects, landscapes by Landart Associates, and interiors by Ministry of Design. Imagine streamlined buildings that blend with the sea vibes – perfect for that modern, elevated lifestyle

Now, location is key here. Stulang is just 2.8km from the CIQ complex, with easy access to the Eastern Dispersal Link, JB Sentral, and Jalan Tun Abdul Razak. Plus, it's super close to the upcoming Bukit Chagar RTS Station, which will connect JB to Woodlands North in Singapore in just 15 to 30 minutes. For us in JB, this means better cross-border commuting, more economic buzz, and potentially higher property values in the area. It's like JB is leveling up its game as a gateway city.

Why is this new for people here? JB has seen plenty of condos, but a reclamation-backed project like The Eclipse brings in that exclusive coastal edge we haven't had much of before. It's redefining urban living with sustainability in mind – though details on environmental impacts aren't fully out yet, the focus on green tech like smart homes is a step forward. For locals, it could mean more jobs during construction, better amenities, and a boost to tourism.

Launched back in November 2025, the reclamation works are still ongoing, so this is hot off the press.
